Apple’s official service status page currently shows App Store as online (see here). Anyway, we are monitoring the situation, and will update the story as and when we have any newsworthy development to share. Just in case you’re trying to get your head around why Apple Music, App Store, Mac App Store and iTunes aren’t working for you, find solace in the fact that you aren’t the only one facing issues lately.
We’ve seen users reporting the same across the micro-blogging site Twitter. While some say services like Apple Music isn’t working for them, others say Apple Music Search is broken for them. We can confirm the latter at our end, as Search on Apple music is throwing “We’ve run into a problem” error.
Here are some reports for you to take a quick glance at.

As per Down detector, the service that gives information about outages, a service outage in regions like the UK and the US can be seen in case of Apple Music (as can be see in the image below), App Store, and iTunes.
As of while writing this, the company’s official system status page has confirmed that services namely Apple Music, App Store, Mac App Store, and iTunes Store are currently down and encountering issues.
So there you go. The outage has been officially confirmed. We are keeping a continuous tab on all related developments, and will continuously update this page with relevant info.
Update 1 (August 22)
As per the system status page, the glitch has now been resolved.
Update 2 (January 24, 2020)
Users are currently reporting an iTunes store issue wherein they are getting the ‘unable to process purchases’ prompt. Here are some reports for you to take a quick look at:

While Downdetector also conveys issues with App Store in some regions, Apple system status page doesn’t convey any such issues.
User complaints are however proliferating. We are looking for more info, and will update this story accordingly.

And the glitch has been acknowledged and is being looked into. Here’s what Apple server status says:

Multiple Apple services goes down on Tuesday morning. Officials at Apple have confirmed that users may be experiencing problems with Apple services. These issues might be affecting App Store, Apple Music, Apple Tv+ and iTunes Store. The outage is also affecting Apple Music users on multiple devices including the iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Apple faces outage on most services
The official status page of Apple shows that a number of users around the globe are experiencing these issues. The services that are down include App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV Channels, Apple TV+, iTunes Store, Mac App Store, Apple Business Manager, and Apple School Manager. The reasons for this massive outage are still unknown. These issues seem to be affecting more services than usual when Apple servers are down. In the past, there have been issues on and off with iCloud but this morning has witnessed Apple having trouble on a massive scale.

Apple is currently working to resolve these issues. The officials at Apple have released the following statement, “Users are experiencing a problem with this service. Apps dont register as open mac. We are investigating this issue.” Downdetector, a service illustrating realtime overview of issues and outages with all kinds of services, shows a massive hike in reported issues with Apple services. Apple officials are working on resolving the issue
Apple has maintained that this outage seemed to be intermittent, the issues are not being faced by all Apple users. The disruption is only being faced by a handful of users around the globe. Several Apple users have resorted to social media to express their frustration with Apple servers. One user tweeted, “Not impressed. For the first time in a long time. @Apple servers are down. From tv to music. @tim_cook must get this fixed. Fast.” While another user tweeted about her unpleasant day, “*finally works up energy to go running* *apple music immediately shuts down and rejects my card and now I have no music*”.
In other news, Apple is all set to launch its first exclusive online store in India on September 23, just ahead of the festive season. The first ever exclusive store will be offering a full range of products, support and premium experience to consumers across the country. Moreover, the September 15 Apple event was a huge success. Some major announcements were made at the event. Apple also launched new software updates on September 16 including iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, and tvOS 14.
Rumors in the tech escape also suggest that Apple is launching a mini phone as a part of iPhone 12 lineup. A new leak claims that the upcoming entry-level 5.4-inch iPhone will be called the ‘iPhone 12 mini’. The leak also claims the phone that was initially thought to be called the ‘iPhone 12 Max’ will be called just ‘iPhone 12’.
